Meet the Cast: Cordell Wesselink and Philip Percy Williams

cropCordell-WesselinkCordell Wesselink (Frederic) is excited to continue his summer of piracy with RVP! His last voyage as a pirate was on the Jolly Roger in the Mountain Play’s production of Peter Pan. Back in his native Wisconsin, Cordell was seen in leading roles including Curly in Oklahoma and Bill Sykes in Oliver! He was also in the choruses of Don Giovanni and Rigoletto with the Minnesota Opera Company. The Mountain Play ushered his return to the stage last summer as a chorus member of South Pacific and last fall in their Gala. Off stage, Cordell is a meeting facilitator, mediator, and conflict coach.


Phillip-Percy-Williams

Phillip Percy Williams (Pirate King) was awarded best principal actor in a musical by Bay Area Theatre Critics in 2015. He is an eleven-year veteran of Beach Blanket Babylon. Theatrical credits include Hunter (Title of Show), Chiambuane/Mr Linder (Impressionism), King Alonso (The Tempest) Johnny Casino/Teen Angel (Grease), Jim (Big River), Captain Tempest (Return to the Forbidden Planet) to name a few. He has been featured in Galas for Bread & Roses, Marin General Hospital, North Bay Children’s Center, Spirit of Marin and Roots of Peace. His jazz trio “The Phillip Percy Pack” can be seen throughout the Bay Area.

Meet the Cast: Ben Vasquez and Michael Walraven

cropBen-VasquezBen Vasquez (Pirate). This is Ben’s first show with RVP. He is a student at the College of Marin where he appeared in The Taming of the Shrew and was stage manager for Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. He also worked on the crew for the Mountain Play’s production of Peter Pan.


cropMichael-WalravenMichael Walraven (Police) is pleased to be performing in a Jim Dunn musical again. Favorite roles include Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof, Hot Blades Harry and Senator Pip in Urinetown, Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Vernon Hines in Pajama Game, Moonface Martin in Anything Goes, and Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls. Michael has also performed as Boyd Bendix in A Case of Libel, Jean in Miss Julie, Hogan in Moon for the Misbegotten, Francis Beaumont in Shakespeare Night at Blackfriars and Verges in Much Ado About Nothing. During the day Michael designs and builds theater sets, including this set for Pirates of Penzance.

Meet the Cast: Bobby Singer and Katie Sorensen

cropBobby-SingerBobby Singer (Sergeant of Police) is thrilled to be singing the role of the Sergeant in his debut with the Ross Valley Players. He has previously performed with The Lamplighters, The Thrillpeddlers, and The Pied Piper Players. When not onstage, Bobby teaches third grade at Franklin Elementary in Burlingame. “Thanks to Samuel Palmer, Lisa Booth, and Dalton Huckaby for helping me find my voice.”


cropKatie-SorensenKatie Sorensen (Kate) is excited to be making her debut at Ross Valley Players. Katie lives in Larkspur and is a cantor at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Katie began acting in high school as Sister Margaretta in The Sound of Music and has been performing ever since. Previous shows include Jesus Christ Superstar, Once Upon a Mattress, Pirates of Penzance and Footloose. Katie would like to thank her family for always supporting her dreams and to thank her boyfriend, Ken, for his encouragement, support and love.

Meet the Cast: Arden Kilzer and Kathryn McGeorge

Arden KilzerArden Kilzer (A Daughter of Major Stanley) is thrilled to return to the Barn Theater this summer! She was last seen here for RVP’s Spring 2014 RAW festival as Maria in Giovanni is Here. Other favorite roles include Lisa in Wait Until Dark and Miss Dale Ogden in The Bat. Arden would like to thank her friends and family for their unending support!


cropKathryn-McGeorgeKathryn McGeorge (A Daughter of Major Stanley) is delighted to be a part of this charming G&S production. She has participated in a number of past RVP musicals including A Little Night Music, Man of La Mancha, Oh, Coward and a variety of summer festival events. Kathryn has also been a part of Mountain Play productions including Oklahoma, Brigadoon, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, The Sound of Music, King and I, and Oliver, to name a few. Her choral background includes the LA Master Chorale, SF Symphony Chorus and the famous December Bracebridge Dinners at Yosemite National Park.

Meet the Cast: Jeremy Ivory-Chambers and Christina Jacqua

cropJeremyChambersJeremy Ivory-Chambers (Pirate) has been acting since the age of six with many different production companies and directors. In the Fall, he will be entering the ninth grade in San Domenico’s upper school for the first year that they will be a co-educational high school. He would like to thank Marilyn Izdebski, Erica Smith, Bruce Vieira, Judy Wiesen, Kristine & Scott deTurk, and the Ross Valley Players for allowing him the opportunity to work with them. A big thank you to everyone who has offered support as he continues following his passion.


cropChristina-JaquaChristina Jaqua (Ruth). After many, many years’ absence, Christina is thrilled to be performing G&S again. Past performances include Iolanthe in Iolanthe, Lady Sangazure in The Sorcerer, both with the Lamplighters in S.F., and Pitti-Sing in The Mikado with Nevada Opera Co. Most recently, she performed her first Shakespeare role as Emilia in The Comedy of Errors at COM working with director, James Dunn. Christina is delighted to be back at RVP.

Meet the Cast: Izaak Heath and Chloe Hunwick

cropIzaak-HeathIzaak Heath (Pirate) is a student at College of Marin and appeared in Comedy of Errors and Seagull. He will next be seen in the play Play ON! at College of Marin. He lives in Marin with one of his brothers.

She recently appeared as Lady of the Lake in Spamalot at Sir Francis Drake High School where she is an incoming senior. She loves Gilbert and Sullivan and has been in HMS Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance with the West Marin Players. She enjoys singing opera, acting, and running.

Meet the Cast: John T. Griffin and Norman A. Hall

cropJohn-GriffinJohn T. Griffin (Pirate) is excited to join the RVP cast and always enjoys performing in classic musicals. John was most recently seen as Mordcha in Fiddler on the Roof at NTC and Rusty Charlie in Guys and Dolls with Spreckels Theater Company. When not on stage acting or in his band “The Hamiltones”, he is a realtor in Marin County for Alain Pinel Realtors. He wants to thank the cast and crew for a great experience. Also his wife, Molly, and two sons, Jack and Michael, for their love of him and of theater as well!!


Norman-HallNorman A. Hall (Major General Stanley). With The Pirates of Penzance, Norman enters the 36th year of his association with RVP and his 10th collaboration with James Dunn. Norman has performed all over the Bay Area and recently won a BATCC Best Director’s Award for his production of Steel Magnolias. He is the voice of Felix, the charismatic villain in the video game series Borderlands. In March 2016, he will be directing 4000 Miles featuring his wife, Shirley Nilsen Hall, for the Novato Theatre Company.
